What Our Clients Share
Ahmad Fadzli
Managing Director · Shah Alam
"We engaged Meridium during a ownership handover to the second generation. The stakeholder audit gave us something we genuinely didn't have before — an honest picture of where the leadership team was aligned and where it wasn't. The findings weren't always comfortable, but they were accurate, and that made all the difference."

"The competitive landscape report was far more detailed than I expected. I had a general sense of who our competitors were, but the mapping showed us players we hadn't considered and pricing dynamics we were underestimating. It gave us a much clearer basis for the pricing decision we were about to make."

"Six months into the advisory retainer and it's become one of the more useful things in my monthly schedule. Having someone external who understands the business but isn't inside it — who you can think things through with — has been genuinely valuable. The quarterly review sessions have helped me step back when I'm too close to something."

"What I appreciated most was the process — the NDA before any real discussion, the written scope before work started, the clear timeline. It felt professional from the beginning. The findings report was well written and actually readable, which isn't always the case with consulting deliverables."

David Chong
Managing Partner · Kuala Lumpur
"We needed an external view of our competitive position before committing to a significant investment in a new segment. The mapping gave us what we needed — not just a list of competitors, but a clearer sense of where the real competitive pressure was coming from and where the positioning gaps were."

General Manager · Selangor
"I came in a bit sceptical about external consulting, if I'm honest. We'd had a mixed experience with a larger firm before. What was different with Meridium was that we worked directly with the senior consultant throughout. The advice felt grounded in our actual situation rather than a framework applied from the outside."

Second-Generation Business Transition
The Situation
A family-owned manufacturing business was preparing to transition majority ownership and operational responsibility to the founder's children. There was tension between the incoming leadership and two long-serving senior managers whose roles were unclear under the new structure.
What We Did
Meridium conducted a Stakeholder Alignment Audit over three weeks. Through individual interviews and a facilitated session, we mapped the underlying concerns of the senior managers, the expectations of the incoming directors, and the founder's unstated assumptions about how the transition would work.
The Outcome
The findings report provided the founder with a clear picture of the misalignments and a set of specific recommendations for how to address them before the transition was formalised. The family used the report as the basis for a structured conversation that they had been avoiding. The transition proceeded on an adjusted timeline with clearer role definitions.
Food & Beverage · Klang Valley
Market Expansion Decision
The Situation
A regional F&B brand with a strong Klang Valley presence was considering expansion into Penang and Johor Bahru. The leadership team had strong opinions on which market to enter first but lacked an independent picture of the competitive dynamics in either city.
What We Did
Meridium delivered a Competitive Landscape Mapping engagement covering both markets simultaneously. The report mapped the direct and indirect competitive field, analysed positioning and pricing across key players, and provided scenario commentary on each market's entry difficulty and growth potential.
The Outcome
The analysis shifted the team's original view — the market they were more confident about turned out to be significantly more competitive than expected, while the other presented a clearer differentiation opportunity. The company entered the market they had initially been less interested in, with a more considered positioning strategy.
